 A lad horsing around with a pail on his head. 102      A lad horsing around with a pail on his head.  The location is unidentified but there are a couple of clues--the first is the driftwood porch and the second is the lay of the land in the back.  I think it may be the Bull Harbour Station.  Take a look at Bowerman photo 248 here and notice the driftwood porch.  248 has steps to the ground, where as this building doesn't appear high enough to accommodate a similar fitting.  The houses are different, but the station may have more than one of these porches.  For instance the building in Bowerman 247 shows a porch with similar construction and is much closer to the ground

Receiver is a "Universal Radio Receiver Type 707.  Operations room someplace. 106      Some resemblance to the banner photo at the top of this page, isn't there!  On the back it says "Static on the old junk box".  Receiver is a "Universal Radio Receiver Type 707".  Differences noted between this and photo 017 is the positioning of a typewriter where the receiver is in this photo.  Tube transmitters in both photos.  Also notice the 'new fangled bug key' in use instead of the Morse type.  Could be Estevan again, but at a different period.

     I didn't realize outboard motors were available then, but poking around on the Internet I found this motor appears to be a 2 HP 2 cylinder Johnson Model A from 1922.
