Banner for the de Forest page.

In August of 2009 a de Forest radio, built for the US military around 1918, was put on eBay.  The receiver was in excellent condition, as it had apparently been squirreled away for 90 years, and the seller placed a number of photos in the advertisement.

The photos are of very high quality and show the quality in construction done during these early years.

I week or so later I went back to eBay but the receiver was gone.  I had intended to get permission to use and give credit to the seller for his photos.

As usual, click on a photo to see a larger image.
